Nigeria will celebrate Independence Day with a major international boxing event in Lagos, featuring British-Nigerian boxer Dan Azeez and other top fighters. Organized by Balmoral Group Promotions and AK Promotions, the event will be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN.

Dr. Ezekiel Adamu, CEO of Balmoral, called the event a proud moment for African boxing. Amir Khan, former world champion and CEO of AK Promotions, said it will inspire the next generation and showcase Nigeria’s talent.

Azeez described the bout as a dream come true, saying he’s fighting for his heritage and people.

The main event features Brandon Glanton vs Rocky Fielding in a rematch, while Richard Commey faces Ray Seitzhanov in the co-main event.

Supported by the National Sports Commission, the event marks a major step in bringing world-class boxing to Nigeria.
