Former Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari, is reportedly to have passed away on Saturday afternoon, July 13, 2025, at a private medical clinic in London. He was 82 years old.

The announcement was made by his former aide and presidential media adviser, Bashir Ahmad, in a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London,” Ahmad wrote.
“May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus. Amin.”
