President Bola Tinubu has nominated Dr. Bernard Doro from Plateau State for a ministerial position in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and has sent his name to the Senate for approval.
This comes after Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, was chosen as the new leader of the ruling party, APC, in July.
The President told his close advisers on Monday that he intends to appoint new ministers for two vacant positions, including the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, which has been vacant since the last minister resigned a few weeks ago.
The Senate will now review and decide whether to approve Dr. Doro for the ministerial position.
