Nottingham Forest have officially announced the appointment of Sean Dyche as the club’s new Head Coach. The former Burnley and Everton boss has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2027.
The announcement was made on Tuesday via the club’s official X handle. According to the statement, Dyche’s appointment followed a “thorough recruitment process” led by Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar, and Global Technical Director, George Syrianos.
A familiar face to the club, Dyche returns to Forest where he once played as a youth. He is set to take charge of his first match on Thursday night when Nottingham Forest face FC Porto in the UEFA Europa League.
Joining Dyche are assistant coaches Ian Woan and Steve Stone both former Nottingham Forest players. Together, the duo made over 400 appearances for the club in the 1990s and are expected to bring deep experience and club knowledge to the backroom staff.
The club and its supporters are hopeful that Dyche’s leadership and the experienced coaching team will help steer the Reds to stronger performances both domestically and in European competition.
