The Federal Government has unveiled the official theme for Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day celebration.
In a statement signed by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations at the OSGF and released on Wednesday, the theme “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation he said, emphasizes the need for unity, collective action, and patriotism among all segments of society including government institutions, private sector players, civil society groups, and individual citizens in the quest to build a more prosperous and peaceful Nigeria.
“This theme reflects Nigeria’s resilience since independence in 1960 and calls for the consolidation of past achievements while striving for greater national progress under the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement noted.
According to the government, the theme underscores the importance of collective responsibility and encourages all Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to national development as the country marks its 65th independence anniversary.
This announcement was made shortly after the inauguration of the National Planning Committee for the 2025 Independence Day Anniversary, which is expected to coordinate all activities leading up to the October 1 celebrations.
