Former Big Brother Naija star and media personality, Natacha Akide popularly known as Tacha has officially set two Guinness World Records, making her the first Nigerian beauty entrepreneur to clinch a double makeover record in a single event.

Guinness World Records confirmed Tacha’s achievement after she successfully completed 82 cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 144 makeovers in 24 hours during the Tacha Beauty Festival held on October 11 in Lagos.

According to GWR, both attempts were verified following strict documentation, timekeeping and adherence to the organisation’s guidelines. Tacha’s marathon challenge, however, did not come without obstacles. Her team battled a nine-hour rainstorm and repeated power outages, which forced them at some point to rely on phone flashlights to continue the 24-hour makeover stretch. Despite the challenges, she pushed through until the timer stopped.

Reacting to the confirmation, Tacha expressed deep gratitude, saying the moment was emotional for her. She thanked God, her supporters, and her late mother, noting that she felt her mother’s presence “holding my shoulders” through the toughest hours of the record attempt. She also praised her team and makeup artists for their resilience and commitment.

“This victory belongs to everyone who believed in me. We made history together,” she said.

Her newly verified world records include; Most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours (individual) – 82 makeovers and Most cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours (individual) – 144 makeovers

The achievement has earned Tacha widespread praise across Nigeria’s entertainment and beauty industry, positioning her as a leading figure in African beauty entrepreneurship.
