A NEW ERA OF RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP AND GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT
My dear people of Ido Local Government Area,
I greet you with deep respect and gratitude for the opportunity to serve you as the current Vice Chairman of our dear Local Government. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working closely with our communities, understanding our challenges, and witnessing the great potential that lies within our people.
Today, I humbly present myself to serve you again this time as Chairman of Ido Local Government in the 2027 elections with a clear vision to build a prosperous, inclusive, and well governed Local Government where development reaches every ward and every community.
My aspiration is driven not by personal ambition but by a deep commitment to service, accountability, and sustainable grassroots development.
MY VISION
To transform Ido Local Government into a model Local Government in Oyo State, where infrastructure, economic opportunities, quality education, accessible healthcare, and good governance improve the daily lives of every resident.
MY MISSION
To deliver people-centered governance, strengthen grassroots institutions, empower our youth and women, and promote sustainable development across all communities in Ido Local Government.
MY DEVELOPMENT AGENDA
- INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
Infrastructure is the backbone of economic growth.
Under my administration, we will:
Prioritize rural road rehabilitation and construction connecting our farming communities to markets.
Improve drainage systems to prevent flooding in major towns and villages.
Provide safe water facilities like deep wells and boreholes
Install and maintain solar powered streetlights in strategic locations to enhance security and night-time economic activity.
Strengthen collaboration with the Oyo State Government to attract more infrastructure projects to Ido.
- AGRICULTURAL AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Agriculture remains the main livelihood for many residents.
My administration will:
Support farmers with modern farming techniques and extension services.
Facilitate access to farming inputs such as fertilizers, seedlings, and equipment.
Establish farmers’ cooperative support programs to increase productivity.
Develop local produce markets to improve income for farmers.
Partner with private investors for agro processing opportunities within the Local Government.
Set up model farms
- YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND EMPLOYMENT
Our youth are the strength of our future.
We will:
Launch vocational training and skill acquisition programs.
Create youth entrepreneurship support initiatives.
Facilitate ICT and digital skills training for young people.
Promote sports development and youth engagement programs to identify talents and reduce social vices.
- WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Women are central to community development.
My administration will:
Support women-led small businesses through cooperative financing programs.
Provide skill acquisition opportunities for women.
Encourage women participation in local governance and decision-making.
- EDUCATION SUPPORT
Education is the foundation of development.
We will:
Renovate and support public primary schools across the Local Government.
Promote teacher support programs and learning resources.
Introduce student scholarship and educational support initiatives where possible.
Encourage community participation in school management and development.
- HEALTHCARE IMPROVEMENT
Every citizen deserves access to quality healthcare.
My administration will:
Strengthen Primary Health Care Centres across all wards.
Improve maternal and child healthcare services.
Support health awareness programs on sanitation, disease prevention, and nutrition.
Partner with NGOs and health organizations to improve healthcare delivery.
- SECURITY AND COMMUNITY SAFETY
Security is the foundation of peace and development.
We will:
Strengthen collaboration with security agencies and community security groups.
Support community policing initiatives.
Improve street lighting and environmental safety to discourage crime.
- TRANSPARENT AND ACCOUNTABLE GOVERNANCE
Good governance requires transparency and trust.
My administration will:
Promote open governance and accountability in the use of public resources.
Strengthen community participation in decision-making.
Ensure fair and equitable distribution of projects across all wards.
Encourage regular town hall meetings to engage citizens directly.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND UNITY
Ido Local Government is blessed with vibrant communities and hardworking people. My administration will ensure no community is left behind in development.
Every ward, every town, and every village will have a voice in governance.
