IDO PDP LEADERSHIP EXPELS ERRING LEADERS AND THEIR ALLIES FOR MISCONDUCT AND ANTI-PARTY ACTIVITIES

IDO PDP

The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ido Local Government, has taken decisive disciplinary action against some party leaders found culpable of gross misconduct and sustained anti-party activities. After thorough internal reviews and several attempts at reconciliation, the party, in the interest of unity, loyalty, and organizational discipline, has resolved to expel the affected individuals with immediate effect.

The issues that led to their expulsion date back to the build-up to the 2023 General Elections, during which these individuals openly betrayed the party’s senatorial and House of Representatives candidates, Mogaji Joseph Tegbe and Hon. Yemi Taiwo, by withdrawing their loyalty and undermining party efforts. This marked a clear departure from party ethics and collective progress.

The expelled individuals are:

1. Alhaji Nureni Adeoye – Ward 7

2. Alhaji Rasak Olatinwo (a.k.a. Elewedu) – Ward 10

3. Alhaji Kasali Akande – Ward 7

4. Mrs. Taiwo Alabi – Ward 10 (Former Women Leader)

5. Alhaji Akanni Lawal – Ward 4

6. Mr. Nureni Adeyemi – Ward 4

7. Mr. Sunday Akanbi – Ward 4

8. Mr. Isiak Ijaoye

9. Mr. Oluayo David Ololude

10. Mr. Folarin Semiu

Additionally, their close allies and followers, who remain unrepentant in these acts, are equally considered expelled from the party.

Before reaching this decision, the party leadership had summoned and cautioned them at various times, giving opportunities for correction and reintegration. Unfortunately, they continued to act against the collective interest of the party. Recent verified reports further revealed that they have been receiving financial and material inducements—including rams and money during the last Ileya Festival—from opposition elements. Most recently, despite reconciliation efforts held about two weeks ago, their self-appointed leader proceeded to collect money and clothing items for the purpose of misleading and influencing members ahead of planned defections.

Consequently, after careful deliberation at the leadership meeting held on Friday, 31st October 2025, it was unanimously resolved that the aforementioned individuals stand expelled from the PDP in Ido Local Government. Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from recognizing or associating them as leaders of the party.

The Ido PDP remains committed to integrity, unity, discipline, and the progress of our great party. We have no doubt that their pattern of disloyalty will follow them into whatever political platform they may align with next.

Signed:

People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ido Local Government
