On February 18, 2026, the Ido LG Vice Chairman and Chairmanship Aspirant, Hon. Barr. Olayemi Oluwasina, organised a comprehensive three-week empowerment training programme for youths across the ten wards that constitute Ido Local Government. The programme was organised in conjunction with the Dorcas Taiwo Ayeni Foundation.

The empowerment programme is designed to train participants in Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Digital Printing, and Graphic Design, equipping them with practical and income-generating skills relevant to today’s digital economy.

Participants will be properly equipped with all necessary training materials, practical tools, and guidance throughout the programme to ensure effective learning and real skill acquisition. The training will run for three weeks, after which all participants will be awarded certificates of completion.
To support their transportation for the entire three weeks of the programme, Hon. Barr. Olayemi Oluwasina provided financial assistance to all participants. Each participant received the sum of Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000) to cover their transportation expenses throughout the duration of the programme.

Participants were carefully selected from across the ten wards that constitute Ido Local Government, ensuring inclusiveness, fairness, and equal representation throughout the local government area.

The programme was attended by the Chairman of the PDP in Ido Local Government, Alhaji Chief Musiabu Emiola; Hon. Mathew Akano, SA to the Governor on Political Matters in Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency; Alhaji Chief Akinsola Ayuba, PDP State Auditor; and the chairmen of Ido Local Government.

In their goodwill messages, the Chairman of the PDP in Ido Local Government, Alhaji Chief Musiabu Emiola, praised the initiative of the Vice Chairman and Chairmanship Aspirant, describing it as a commendable step towards youth empowerment and grassroots development.

Alhaji Chief Akinsola Ayuba, the PDP State Auditor, also commended Hon. Barr. Olayemi Oluwasina for his commitment to empowering young people with practical skills.
Similarly, Hon. Mathew Akano, SA to the Governor on Political Matters in Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, applauded the Vice Chairman for the initiative and urged the participants to make effective use of the opportunity, noting that such programmes do not come very often.

This initiative further demonstrates Hon. Barr. Olayemi Oluwasina’s unwavering commitment to youth development, economic empowerment, and inclusive leadership across Ido Local Government.
