Super Falcons midfielder, Deborah Abiodun, has clinched the Rookie of the Month award for September in the Nigeria Women’s Soccer League, NWSL.

The 21-year-old Washington Spirit midfielder showcased her reliability throughout September, earning starting roles in three of the club’s four league fixtures.

Her solid displays were rewarded with the honour, making it the first Rookie of the Month accolade of her professional career

Having featured for Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Abiodun is cementing her status as one of the country’s most promising young talents abroad.

This milestone is set to strengthen her confidence as she continues to establish herself for both club and country.
