The Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has participated in the ongoing Anambra State governorship election by casting his vote.
Obi exercised his franchise at Polling Unit 008, Umudim, Agulu Ward 2, in Anaocha Local Government Area of the state, where he arrived in the morning to participate in the voting process.
Speaking to journalists shortly after voting, the former Anambra State governor commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials for their timely arrival and the peaceful atmosphere at his polling unit. He called on voters across the state to remain calm and orderly while exercising their civic rights.
Obi also urged security agencies and political actors to ensure the election remains free and fair, stressing that the future of Anambra depends on credible leadership.
