Remi Tinubu Opens 10 Digital Learning Centres for Nigerian Youths

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has unveiled 10 new digital learning centres across the country to help young people gain technology skills and improve their chances in the job market.

The project is a joint effort between the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) a programme under the Office of the First Lady and the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

The new centres are located in Abia, Delta, Edo, Kano, Katsina, Lagos, Nasarawa, Ondo, Yobe, and Zamfara states and are designed to train youths and women in ICT, digital entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, and innovation.

Speaking during the launch in Abuja, the First Lady said the initiative supports the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which focuses on empowering Nigerians through technology and education.

NITDA’s Director-General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, said the centres will help young people become part of the growing digital economy. He added that more centres will be established in the coming years, with a target of over 590 centres nationwide by 2027.

The First Lady urged the beneficiaries to take full advantage of the facilities, stressing that digital skills are key to economic growth and self-reliance in today’s world.
