SportTransfer: Bankole seals switch to South Africa’s TS Galaxy

Super Eagles goal keeper Kayode Bankole is heading to South Africa, having signed a deal with Premier Soccer League club TS Galaxy following his departure from Remo Stars

The 22-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Rockets after leaving NPFL champions Remo Stars, marking his first move abroad.

Bankole’s steady performances for Remo Stars quickly earned him recognition as one of the NPFL’s finest goalkeepers. He was pivotal in the club’s first league title success and his displays led to a Super Eagles call-up, reinforcing his status as a rising talent.

TS Galaxy regard Bankole as a valuable addition to their squad as they aim to challenge South Africa’s top clubs. The Nigerian keeper is expected to push for the starting role and bring greater assurance to the team’s defence.

For Bankole, the move offers a fresh challenge and an opportunity to prove himself on a larger stage in African football. It also reflects the trend of young Nigerian players seeking growth and exposure through moves abroad.
