President Bola Tinubu has paid a tribute the late Dr. Christopher Kolade, describing him as a man of integrity, patriotism, and excellence who dedicated his life and career to serving Nigeria with honour and leadership.

Describing the late doctor, President Tinubu said in a statement on Thursday that the 92-year-old diplomat, broadcaster, and business leader is one of Nigeria’s great minds and a key figure in the country’s corporate history.
Tinubu reflected on Kolade’s outstanding career, saying his achievements in both the private and public sectors showed true professionalism and integrity. He noted that Kolade served as Chief Executive and later Chairman of Cadbury Nigeria Plc, becoming a respected business leader, and also represented Nigeria as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
“Dr. Kolade was among the finest of men exceptionally brilliant, statesmanly, diligent, and of unimpeachable integrity. He was not only a boardroom icon but also a patriot and an uncompromising advocate of transparency and accountability in governance,” Tinubu said.
He added that Kolade’s long service to Nigeria showed his commitment to the nation’s growth and values, saying that his death is a great loss and his legacy will continue to inspire others.
