According to a statement from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the first batch of players arrived at the team’s base in Rabat on Sunday, signaling the start of the national team’s build-up to their upcoming semi-final clash.

Among the early arrivals are captain William Troost-Ekong, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Chidozie Awaziem, Tolu Arokodare, Olakunle Olusegun, and Benjamin Frederick.

The team’s head coach, Finidi George, and his technical crew have commenced light training sessions to help the players settle in and adapt ahead of the full squad’s arrival. More players are expected to join camp in the coming days as the Super Eagles step up preparations for their first-leg tie.

Nigeria will face Gabon on Thursday, November 13, in Rabat, as part of the African zone playoff series for a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The NFF assured that the team is fully focused and motivated to secure qualification, adding that early camping would enhance the squad’s readiness and team chemistry before the decisive fixture.
