The Forum of Personal Assistants to Executive Chairmen across the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment and loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde over what it described as his exemplary leadership style and unwavering dedication to the growth and stability of the state. The forum, in a statement, praised Governor Makinde for sustaining good governance, grassroots development and people-oriented policies under the “Omituntun” administration, noting that his leadership has continued to bring unprecedented transformation across the state.
According to the group, Governor Makinde has demonstrated rare political courage, administrative competence and inclusive governance, which have earned him the admiration and support of political stakeholders, local government functionaries and residents of the state. The forum particularly applauded the governor for the support and enabling environment provided to their principals, the Executive Chairmen across the local governments, stressing that such cooperation has enhanced governance delivery and improved developmental projects at the grassroots level.
The Personal Assistants further commended Governor Makinde for his firm stand on democratic principles and his role in strengthening the Peoples Democratic Party at the national level. They noted that his contributions towards ensuring internal democracy and resisting any attempt to turn Nigeria into a one-party state remain commendable and patriotic.
The group maintained that Governor Makinde has emerged as one of the strongest voices defending democracy, fairness and justice within Nigeria’s political landscape, adding that his political ideology continues to inspire young political appointees and grassroots mobilizers across the state. While expressing appreciation for the governor’s support and leadership, the forum also appealed for more incentives and welfare packages for members, noting that such gestures would further motivate them in discharging their responsibilities effectively in support of their various local government administrations.
Reaffirming their dedication to the current administration, the forum declared that the “Omituntun 3.0” remains sacrosanct and continuity beyond 2027 in order to consolidate on the gains already achieved under Governor Makinde’s leadership. The forum therefore urged residents of Oyo State to remain united and committed towards sustaining the developmental strides and progressive vision of the present administration for the continued growth of the state.
